My Dog has been to the vets twice in two weeks, his eye has a lump on bottom and other eye on the top. His Willy was swollen so he had a week of antibiotics and steroids but the eyes have been no better, so we took him Friday 66BED1DF-73B3-4642-B375-B8E472AE48EC again. The vet said his anal glands were full aswell and we have been given eye cream antibiotics and steroids but now today found lumps around his mouth. Has anyone seen this before ?

Hello!  Yes - but the cause can be varied.  Folliculitis can look like this for example.  Folliculitis can be caused by infection of the hair follicles eg by bacteria, by demodex mites (these need specific tests to detect them and often proliferate in the presence of steroids) or by some deep-lying autoimmune response or infectious disease.  It is hard to know what's going on with skin just by looking, so vets often have a choice between chasing a diagnosis, or test-trying common treatments.  I'm not sure whether a diagnosis has already been reached in this case but, as the treatment doesn't seem to have been successful to your eyes, it may be time to re-visit your vet.  Questions such as 'Was this the response you were hoping for?  If not, what else could explain these signs?' and 'Are there any further tests that might verify that?' could be useful.  Best of luck and please do let us know how it goes.

Triage can be useful to guage how quickly your vet needs to see you again.  Please do wash your hands well after touching the lesions.
