Staffie with large lump on leg

Whilst we’re waiting for a vet appointment I thought I’d ask on here to see if anyone can help. My 12 year old female staffie has developed a very large solid lump on her rear left leg and cannot use the leg at all. Does anyone have any idea what may have caused this/ how to help her please? Is it muscle related?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello - the pictures are slightly fuzzy and I don't want to get this wrong - exactly where is the lump you are referring to?
