Hello! Wow - what a strange movement. I am not sure what is causing it. I wonder whether there is something putting periodic pressure on a nerve somewhere, or whether something may have been putting pressure on the throat causing coughs, has now moved. Both of these suggestions seem a little vague and far fetched. The throat and ears are connected by a tube - the eustachian tube - and I can imagine a diverticulum, or extra part of, the eustachian tube having this sort of effect.
It sounds as though the heart may be under control - is she on tablets? But I can't really be sure from your description whether the lack of movement is down to the heart struggling, or arthritis causing pain in the joints, or linked to a neurological problem, or due to a massive headache because something unexpected is putting extra pressure in that area! Obviously these different possibilities have a range of possible outcomes.
Has a clinician seen this? We would strongly advising letting a vet examine this patient or video, and work out how urgently the case needs to be seen.
I would be very much interested to know what is found.
