Syrian hamster abscess

2 days ago we noticed that our little syrian hamster has a rather big abscess on the neck under the chin. We went to the vet and they said its a tumor but also that the absces itf filled with pus and that it comes from a vaginal infection. She is 225g and 1 year and 5 months old, they said she should have surgery as she will only live a couple more months without one. Now they said that the surgery is simple but the only problem would be with the anesthesia as she may not wake up. I will attach some photos with her, any help is welcomed.
