Hi, My cat has been having some eye problems. I brought him to a vet last year and he had a punctured cornea. After using some eye drops he was fine for a while. After that he would still squint his eyes from time to time(for a day every two months) and we continue to use eye drops when necessary. Recently he had the same probelm; squinting and closing his eyes, watery and redness in his eye. But this time it has not gone away after a week. Any advice would be appriciated.

Hello This is an old post which was posted twice at the time, hence this duplicate had not been answered.  The cornea, the front of the eye, looks to be ulcerated.   It needs to be seen by a vet.  I understand that a treatment was offered a week ago but things sound to have got worse rather than better since then and Id like to reiterate that damaged corneas are emergencies; this one is getting thinner and could rupture if unchecked, so more and rapid attention is merited.  Your vet might for example offer pain releif as the lesion is likely to be very sore.  They may try other treatments and ask to monior the situation much more carefully from here, or may even offer to refer this cat to an eye expert.
