Hi, I am trying to learn parasite microscopy. This is from my dog Beauceron Lego. Flotation solution was sugar, centrifuged, 150 x magnification.
Thank you for opinions.
Hello! This isn't the classic picture I'd associate with Toxocara eggs or body although I'm no expert. Are you a clinician or an owner at home with a microscope? It matters because if you are a clinician then there are online groups that you can join who may be able to help you better than I can, particularly over certain popular social media sites. (Some of these may be open to members of the public or other scientists too, but I don't know of one.) Furthermore most labs will have someone willing to talk over your slide - I have found that microbiologists can be extremely helpful and happy to be asked. If you are an owner testing at home, it may help to have a chat to the vets at your practice, who can almost certainly help you to test, obtain maximally clear slides and to identify your pet's faeces.
