I am looking for a qualified DVM with experience to write an expert testimony report for a Small Claims Court case. The general subject area is canine brain trauma. This is a brief job that should only take a couple of hours and the pay is decent. Local clinics don't like to touch court cases, so I am having trouble finding someone. Are there any vets here willing to take this on?

Hello - I note that you're looking for a DVM; my degree is BVSc MRCVS - you are on a UK website.  An expert witness (Oxford University press) is a person whose level of specialised knowledge or skill in a particular field qualifies them to present their opinion about the facts of a case.  I know that the law and common veterinary practise vary from State to State across America, and that the differencs in medical culture between the UK and the States can be marked.  My advice would therefore be to speak to local vet offices, although if you have an questions to ask here in the usual way, we will try to answer them.   I'm sorry to prove a disappointnent on this one and hope that you find the person you seek.

I see that local vets won't help you: however they may have a good idea as to who might.  If not, can the people who aee asking you for this, suggest someone?
