She is 11 year old in December and she’s been vomiting every few hours since yesterday morning but seems less today. What could this be?

Hello and Im so sorry to hear this.  The list of possibilities is almost endless, from pancreatitis to a foreign body to stomach cancer to toxicity, to a womb infection (pyometra) to liver disease to kidney disease, septicaemia, constipation, diabetes, and lots of things in between.

What is important is that if a dog has been vomiting for that length of time, then there's a strong chance that she is becoming dehydrated, which can begin to put her organs at risk.   Dehydration is serious and (whatever the cause) may require a drip.   The longer the time that fluid loss is allowed to continue without adequate replacement, the more urgent the situation becomes.  Therefore, it sounds as if this could be an emergency and we strongly reccommend a vet for this patient, as a matter of urgency, especially if they seem ill.

- Sorry, that reads rather vague.  Especially if they appear to be flat / lethargic in themselves.

If you call your vet or their emergency replacement, they ought to be able to offer phone triage for this case.
