Hi, last week my cat (12, male, indoors, neutered) had an esophageal tube inserted due to hepatic complications that caused anorexia. He's always been prone to vomiting so I was worried this would happen, but just now he vomited. I know this can displace the esophageal tube, but he doesn't show any signs of discomfort or excessive swallowing, the tube didn't come out of his mouth and he doesn't seem to be in pain. He's actually purring right now as a matter of fact. My question is, does vomiting always displace esophageal tubes or is it possible for the tube to actually stay in place after vomiting occurs?
