It's red and I can only see it when he's panting, only on his left side not his right. He does have conjunctivitis in his left eye so unsure if related? He's eating fine and drinking fine. 13 year old lab. He has had eosinophilic granuloma in 2022 but it was on the roof of his mouthinbound7379457102428318484inbound7602918592654397563inbound7363799633542882383

Hello and thank you for these fascinating pictures.  I wonder whether there is a lump behind those folds, but lumps can be made of many things; a foreign body, cyst, tumour (benign or otherwise), inflammatory issue of different kinds and so on.   Your vet, on finding a swelling, may be keen to determine what it is made from; in order to do this, the type of cell would have to be determined so if it isnt obvious to them, biopsies might well be needed.  There are indeed passageways connecting the eye / nose / back of the throat, so it wouldnt surprise me if that and the ocular inflammation were related. Wishing you and your labrador a happy outcome in this case - please will you let me know what is found?
