Hello! It sounds as if you've been through a very stressful time and I'm sorry because I can't give you the definitive answer that you are looking for. I understand that you have contacted several sources in order to work out what this might be, but the fundamental problem with this approach is the word 'might.' There is a long list of possible differentials, some of them (chewing gum or prosphetics? - because I can't examine it to check) even potentially amusing, ranging through infections, cysts, polyps and foreign bodies / inflammatory nodules right to very serious concerns such as malignant cancer. However, what it might be makes no difference at all, except sometimes to keep owners awake at night worrying. The question is whether treatment is appropriate / can be given and for that, the lump needs to be correctly, not speculatively, identified. If this is the sort of lump that needs to be removed, then the larger it gets, the more difficult removal will be, especially in an area with no spare skin like the foot. Cancers commonly are non painful but can occasionally become inflamed (which is painful) so the amount of pain associated with a lump rules nothing in or out. Please do visit your vets as soon as you can because they might want to perform a biopsy. Wishing you both all the best.
