We got our corn snake out of his enclosure as we are currently revamping his enclosure and noticed this on his vent. Are there any ideas of what it is and what I can do to help?
He is in a bioactive setup with live plants, branches and CUC. He's eating, drinking, pooping and acting normal.
Thank you :)
It is very hard to tell from a photo without being able to examine the patient (and I have a great deal of sympathy with my colleagues doing telemedicine consults!).
It does look like a minor hemipene prolapse to me; however, I do not pretend to be a reptile specialist. It might be worth seeing if there is an experienced reptile vet in your area who you could call.
