Hello! You do not tell me how you know that the kitten has Giardia, so I am going to assume that Giardia has been appropriately diagnosed and treated according to veterinary instructions specific to that kitten and parasite. One possible reason for it not going away, is that Giardia cysts can be very hardy and survive for long periods of time in water, in faeces and elsewhere in the environment, including sometimes the kittens' own fur. It is therefore important to speak to your vet about environmental contamination and ensure that you are taking the necessary steps to treat the environment in order to reduce this. Best of luck.
