Hi, we had a flea problem and my 6 month old puppy scratched her nose a little raw. She's been treated and house treated but I'm wondering if there's anything over the counter and is safe to put on it to heal and keep from getting infected. It's not horrible but I'm not wanting to take any chances. Or should I just get her to a vet?  If there is something, it would have to be safe if licked being it's on her nose. Attached is a picture. Any advice would be appreciated.20220204_085541

Hello!  I know this seems pedantic, but we are not your vets and therefore it is inappropriate to give you direct advice about what to do with your little one, especially in lieu of them seeing a vet. However, sometimes a phone call to the nursing staff at the clinic can help about this sort of thing - they will triage the case at the same time - and also in discussing at what point you should request an appointment.  There are some unusual non-itchy diseases of the nose:skin junction that can become quite sore, so it's worth monitoring carefully, especially if the fleas have now gone.
