Hello. This could simply be the distribution of melanin (pigment) over the sclera (white part) of the eye, and nothing to worry about. It could also represent inflammation of the sclera, episcleritis, which can have a range of causes (some of which would be something to worry about). If an eye seems sore, itchy or out of control in any way, or if a condition appears to be progressing or if, for example, if vision may be a problem or the pupil is different sizes to those expected, then it should always be treated as an emergency. Your vet will be able to triage for you if you are unsure. Wishing you the best of luck.
