Dog is heat or what is this?

I have a very visit scheduled for this Saturday (in 2 days) but I just got this new puppy a couple of weeks ago. The previous owners said she was in heat back in October so she might go into heat again soon. Everything looked normal. Her vulva looked swollen but nothing of concern. Well, it keep getting more and more swollen as the days went by and yesterday I noticed blood droplets on the floor and on her paws. Today I noticed a bulge coming from her vagina (pics included). Is this typical of a dog in heat? She's in great spirits, eating and drinking well, pooping and peeing like normal too. Excuse the sirt. I took the pictures after she went potty. I cleaned up the area afterwards.

Hi - where's the anus on this picture?  Presumably off camera shot?   Anyway if theres something weird coming out of the vulva I would be concerned and call the emergency vet immediately for triage.  Please do let us know what they find.
