my 3 year old cat leaves behind little seed like looking things everywhere she lays down. i looked it up and it says it could be tapeworms. is this serious? is this an emergency? i plan on taking her to get checked up about it but should i take her to urgent care? i don’t see anything actually around her butt but i assume that’s where it’s coming from. what should i do?

Hello - they could be worm related.   Have you tried typing 'cat, tapeworms' into the blog search bar on this site?   You will find some very helpful articles.   Essentially, it sounds as though you need to see your vet / nursing team and get good preventative measures in place against worms;  they are very hard to avoid by other means and can prove a hazard to human health, especially children.   Tapeworms can indeed become serious; your veterinary team are well placed to ask the right questions to decide how soon your cat needs to be seen.
