My cat has fleas and I just got him medication. However he’s been licking the back of his legs raw so I had my own special vet tape that I put to cover the wound. However it seems that the bandage was too tight and caused his paw to swell up. I took the bandage off. He’s walking fine on it and doesn’t seem to be in any pain. I was massaging the paw for as long as he’d let me as well as put a cold compress on it. Will the swelling go back down on its own?

Hello - I'm afraid I can't tell you because I can't see it or feel it from here, but swollen paws d/t something tight like that can be a veterinary issue.   Furthermore, the skin may need treatment and it may be worth putting a long-term flea and worm campaign together with your vet, for example if eggs etc have got into your furnishings, which may still be on course to hatch.   For these reasons, it could be worth speaking to your vet nurse now and asking for this case to be triaged.
