The short answer is that I don't know - that it is the cell type and tissue arrangement and not the outer appearance of a lump that tells you these things - but that it may be a very good idea to find out. It doesn't look typical of any one thing to me, but I wondered about a reaction to demodex or other mites; about urticaria / allergy; about various cancers, nasty or benign. When you have been to your vets, please will you let us know what was found?
