Hi. I am so sorry in advance- I have been googling and hope for your advice knowing that all vets are different. I'm the one in South America. I am going for brevity. i absolutely get if this is annoying/below any priority and totally ignored. Role play style if ok- 1. you have a new patient with many blood tests. Would you prefer to see those tests on the day the test was received or per the date the blood was drawn re: those results? 2. Would you prefer see blood tests in one digital file, pee tests in another, imaging in another OR a file that is chronological (by year/seasons) OR a pretty ugly excel/google sheet type thing that is chronological- dates on columns/tests as rows? 3. Let's say you have a life and hobbies and never imagined the new dog client would have 93939 tests that you can never read. Would something like a list of abnormal results be more helpful? 4. You won't get to know all the drugs or dates of vaccinations. sorry. You can learn as many drugs as possible within xyz time before each test- if you like that idea, any time period you are fond of? Same question re: symptoms 5. There are only tests, so any additional information has to be created by idiot dog mom with no science skills- including diagnoses, opinions, and thoughts expressed by past vets to her- it will be incoherent and non-linear- do you prefer just the tests and any symptoms/meds within xyz time prior to tests? Again, of course please ignore if too annoying. I have been unable and will be unable to create much of value and experience has shown me, understandably, that alarming/inconsistent test results have inspired many responses/approaches from vets who all want to help my dog.  Nothing resembling anything you're used to is possible. I would like to minimize the new vet's stress as well as my attempts to do something that can't be done. i am so relieved to have a vet as in a body with the brain of a vet to be there for when things get crappy, at which point I don't feel I will have the type of information he would benefit from and just would like to express to him that having him is everything to me, but I can do very little for him. So maybe 6. a new client walks in whose mom will be unable to answer the simplest of questions and may likely cry, but it won't be about you. Would you prefer no records and just to hear that she is just relieved you are there for her dog and none of the above?   sorry. thanks. i feel it's likely annoying. he wants to see a past that I can't produce and I don't want to disappoint/scare/alienate/lose him. I am just happy that he can be there for her and knowing that i will not be sad or angry or anything if something crappy happens becuase i can't help him, i just would be happy to take her to him at that point and then figure it out then. sorry thanks

Sorry- best to ignore #1. I am going to note on a certain specific tests that the blood was drawn re: those results 5-6 weeks before so he doesn't think the re-dos  were like a week later as the differences in the results are dramatic. It took me a very long time to try to figure out when blood was draw for many tests. I am not willing to do that for all of them, and this may make me a crappy person. sorry. thanks

Ooops try again. 1  To be honest either way has its pros and cons but the imporant bit is, that it is labelled clearly. 2.  Chronogical works for me 3.  No.  Id just skip through.  This is a strong opinion because results out of context are unhelpful. 4.  What drugs when, including vacc, is quite important actually.  But it can vague - HERE drugs were X Y and Z this dose for 6 months.  Ish.   I dont need to know what dates you put prescriptions up.  Vac dates are only important if trying to work out whether a dog was fully vaccinated and what against. Finally:  Id just submit what you can a few days before the appt to give them chance to scan through it.  Dont be offended if they dont - I personally would never have got round to checking before I'd seen the owner. Also, most vets want to know what is happening NOW and will work backwards as an when needed. I can tell that you're doing a really thorough job and they will appreciate this information at some point.

you are so fantastic.thank you so so so much.  i am so lucky for you. IF possible, i hope I can add this pic as an example of the blood draw vs result result emission date. I think in this case a picture is better. These test results have dates that are seven days apart. Except the one on the left was done on blood that was drawn a month before. I imagine a vet would see the test on the left and think 'yikes, that is a a high ACTH.' But I prefer they think that vs 'yikes, that is a high ACTH, and just seven days before a normal almost too low one.' IFFF the blood draw date is important. I don't know if your yikes is relevant to the date of the blood draw or the date of the emission. I imagine you will still have a yikes moment, but I don't know what I need to do re: adding a note (hi, ps, this was from a blood draw a month before).  I know that if any vet looks at tests dated seven days apart, that they have no knowledge about any other date. thoughts? I know for sure there are just two tests in which such a drastic/dramatic yikes would be said/though regarding dates because two results of the same dude are very different, dated very close together, yet the draw on one was several weeks before. this one and a thyroid one. I don't know where that left blood was between draw date and test emission date. I know that some of that left blood was sent to another city for some tests not available in our smallish city. I don't know if this blood just hung out for awhile or maybe someone in another city did this test too. But i know that a vet won't know what they can't see and hope maybe dates don't matter at all, but imagine they may. If i haven't confused/annoyed you and perhaps you can tell me what to do i would love that. I don't live in a question asking culture. this is a major challenge for my personality type and lack of common sense/skills. The problem i have with the 'NOW' is that everything 'now' has a past. and that past is hairy. that past is so hairy that i was told one of those symptom's history is not possible. I felt sad to hear that as I have no reason to be dishonest about her symptoms. I prefer she has none. luckily a male friend was with me, as when he confirmed that history, it seemed it was believed at least 20% more than out of my mouth.   Sorry. i think i have not written in a less is more way. thank you so so much. If you would like more of the  visual on these tests. i can whatsapp it to myself and use the pen thing to mark out the names of the vets on my phone so you can see the dates- i don't know how to edit on my computer and feel you believe me. but i also can't find my phone - but will at some point today for sure.   thank you so so soo much. i can't send him anything until i meet him or he would for sure not want us, understandably,  and because i don't have anything cause i can't make anything. but i will try to. i think. im sorry- it's just that one echocardiogram alone has led to various vets, who all love dogs and want to help them, to telling me very different drug needs, same with our thyroid results. we have 7 very different echos and three very different thyroids. and then 939399 tests. half of which, from another country, I am currently unable to confirm in ways that i feel are icky. thank you so so so much. sorry. thanks Screen Shot 2024-07-05 at 11.44.29(not ED method we can't get that). sorry. I will not write more. thank you so so so much.

Hi I think Im at the end of what I can do to help you there.  Partly because I don't understand the question, but also because Im at the limit of my professional capacity.  I hope that that helps.

i was just going to write ignore that- because I just realized I only know the draw dates and i have no idea when the blood was actually tested for xyz result.  i will give you the example written while also telling you that no one can help me. Fido's mom brings Fido to Dr. Jim's lab on March 1. Dr. Jim extracts blood from Fido on March 1. There is no other blood draw that happens after March 1.  Dr. Jim never sees Fido ever again. Fido's mom receives various result that are dated with dates between March 1 and April 15,- yet all of those tests were done with March 1 blood. Dr. Jim had to send that blood to some different cities for certain tests, though was able to do some tests and even send them do Fido's mom on the day of the draw. Sorry. I just realized looking at my thyroid tests that I have zero ability to know when the blood was tested and it is very important and if I show our new vet that result and the next one it will be very scary as the first one was invalidated due to an injection two days before the blood draw, however the test is dated almost a month later. I'ms sad. I'm sorry. I imagine that however blood tests are dated where you live you are able to know what you need to know. I will bring the two ACTH tests and the two thyroid tests to my new vet, and nothing else. And i will try not to cry as the results are both scary and closely dated and explain the scenario. He will understand as he is from here and he will not fire me as he loves animals and will know immediately that I know nothing but am trying to help him have info he may find helpful without knowing the dates that anything was tested.  Your answer above is incredibly helpful in ways beyond your imagination. thank you. very very much. im sorry. i won't ask anything else. im sorry. thanks

sorry. often, when tests are sent to different cities, those results have that lab's letterhead on it, so that the viewer knows, aha, that lab, in that other city, did the test. sometimes my results don't have that other lab's letterhead., they have Dr. Jim's. And none have the draw date and i think it's wine time. Sorry. but thank you so much. i need to not ask questions unless I think maybe they are kinda realistic to answer and i think these are not. ok. cheers from afar as I would like to imagine that you also may have a glass of malbec that you are about to drink. sorry. ugh. i am not good at this stuff. thanks again

Please ignore unless inspired not to- I re-read your #3, and it being a strong opinion. As you know, I know nothing.  Is there anything that would change your mind on that?  1. i have been informed, absolutely understandably, by vets (long before many more recent tests) that the sheer volume of tests is beyond what any human could look at  2. i could add injections and symptoms within 24 hours of those results 3.  some of these may be the same-  immune disorders, gene mutations, blood cell / immunoglobulin wackiness, whatever used petrol does. Those things have  specifically been suggested as relevant by past vets.  I have been googling what can cause a low MCHC without anemia for unclear how long- and am aware, as I have been told, that some of her past results are unheard of. many things are not unheard of- weird blood cell shapes that one vet noted in clinical notes in past country and added immune disease as a possibility.  Our third ultrasound report suggested a rule out for systemic toxic/viral processes. Things I can't change- I will never know the components of the speculated used petrol put all over her in the Amazon jungle by an Indigenous group prior to my meeting her in another part of that country, I will never be able to learn the number of times she was vaccinated (at least three leptos, and notes suggest more of others than ideal), everything she was injected with on certain days, that she was never only only on one drug on past country..... i am trying to understand a study about the components of the immune system. I doubt it will enter my brain- I feel it's possible that our first oncologist's summary (partial translation in pic) may have been based on her creating a chart of past tests knowing nothing else......however i also word barfed a bunch. If any of this does anything for you, i'm here but am already grateful for your well wishes. My goal here is not for him to think anything can be done or looked for, and imagine our most recent four bloods/urines (sept/oct) will give him a good taste of wackiness. My goal is for him to know i am so grateful he is so interested in her past but ultimately am just thrilled to have a vet, while knowing I likely can't produce much to help him. But i'm done. and am always grateful, and have zero hopes or intentions of anything other than the peace and relief that I will have to have a vet who I already know is wonderful with my onesie removing stitch manipulating kitten. I don't want him to think I don't trust him, I just would like him to roll with 'it' and imagining that 'it' is a huge mess. thank you. done for real. real real. Screen Shot 2024-07-05 at 20.52.12
