Cat m 16yrs has about 1/4 of his iris in the lower half browned with melanosis there is an are of it that is blacker, the whole area has been slowly growing of the last year or so and is being monitored by our vet. In the last few months he has developed a runny nostril on that same side and now in the last 2 weeks the eye has become runny. He has had anti inflamatory medication that hasnt made any difference. The runny nose has mostly been clear, occasionally is cloudy but not coloured, the eye tears seem mostly clear. He is sneezing more but seems mostly unbothered by any of this. He is eating normally and still wants to play. Our vet has said an xray wont show up anything and they are not able to look into the nose with an endoscopy. I am concerned about the melanosis having turned Malignant and have been told that removing the eye is the only way to diagnose this. Does anyone please have any advice? TIA
