I was hoping to get an opinion whether my cats fractures will heal. He is thought to have been hit by a car and has tibial fractures of both hind legs below the proximal joint. We could not afford the 6000$ surgery to fix them and are splinting instead. I am wondering what the chances are that they will heal? He is eating and drinking, and appears comfortable. Stifle_Left_LatStifle_Right_Lat Thank you

Hello and I'm sorry to read about your kittens problems.   Those radiographs look so uncomfortable!    They are in a very delicate part of the joint and we would recommend that yourself or your vet has an initial chat to an orthopaedic surgeon, specialists in such cases.   Good questions include 'What will be involved in recovery?' And 'What quality of life can I reasonably expect in each case?'
