6 week old chiweenie puppy we just got and have noticed on her backend she is very off balance. Today when watching her with my son, I noticed her left hind is the issue? Going to set her up an appointment but am wondering if a vet can see the potential cause? Specifically around her knee and possibly hip. Can send video of movement upon request20220515_141852

Hi - may be quite a wide stance at times, too, for stability in the back end?   I don't think your list should be confined to hip or knee because generalized muscle weakness or neurological causes could also be on the list.   What is needed next is an examination of the patient by a vet, who would check the dog neurologically, check muscle tone and palpate each of the legs in turn at all the joints, including the patella.  You should also show them the video, although they will likely watch the dog move themselves as well.  At this point they may be able to usefully decide where to focus their next investigations.  Best of luck and please do let us know what is found!
