9 y/o not active, still drinks, eats 1/2 c dry dog food once a day. Has been laying around and I can hear her upper respiratory breathing sounds like she has allergies. My husband will feed her a raw egg every other day or so. He’ll also feed her almonds from the trees that stayed in and we picked them off and cracked and fed them to her and our other 2 y/o border collie. She sneezes blood splatters. Not everyday but maybe every few days. She is laying around sometimes will get out of her doghouse and lay directly on the concrete, sometimes in the sun, sometimes shade (weather permitting). she’s been to the vet twice in the past year no broken bones, seems healthy, gave her pain pills for possible arthritis in her right rear leg. Sometimes puts pressure on it sometimes it’s worse. She has been favoring that leg quarter for the past year maybe year and a half. Any suggestions...

Hello!  I'm afraid that the list of differentials for sneezing blood spatters and upper-resp breathing sounds (I'm going to assume for this reply that you've got that right) puts you straight into the 'see a vet very  soon' category.  I would be hoping for nasal polyps or foreign bodies, perhaps, but I'm afraid that there are more serious possibilities including cancer, fungal infections or clotting disorders. It may be worth calling your vets today and letting them know the signs, to see how soon they want to start getting to the bottom of things.  Best of luck and please do let us know what they unearth.
