So I visited the vets on Monday due to my poor pup loosing her nail casing exposing the quick. I have another appointment tomorrow but just concerned that the quick is now infected. It is cleaned twice a day, a cone is applied and ibuprofen(prescribed by the vets) is being used. I just thought I would get a second opinion to see if it is infected or if I’m just over reacting! I know I have an appointment tomorrow but I’m extremely stressed and will probably not sleep. 1bfc8d87-6e98-4542-95ff-4188250807e2

Oh Im sorry, I missed this one.  (My day for answering is Saturday UK time actually, which has only just begun for me, but I get going early sometimes).  This was a me-factor not a you-factor, so please don't let it affect your confidence. I don't necessarily think that this is infected and the truth is that you can't tell from looking.  We used to think things were infected when they 'looked manky' (Yorkshire slang term) or oozed pus or whatever, but we now know that this is no longer true.  On top of that, we are having problems with antibiotics, many of which are simply not needed most of the time they are used. Thus far I would have agreed with your vet.   If it still does not heal, they might have the extra option of swabbing it and looking down the microscope for bacteria.  Thus way, they know what bacteria are there and can use an appropriate antibiotic.  If you type 'antibiotics' into the searchbar of the blog, you can read all about this.  Meanwhile I'm glad your vet gave a pain killer; that looks sore!
