Piriton for dogs dosage

hello , my dog had been prescribed piriton as he has a little itchy rash above his lips. It says on the bottle 4mg 2 tables 3 times daily however I’m onto the third day and I realised I’ve only been giving him 2 tables per day. What is best thing to do now as I still have tablets left over but haven’t been giving him the right amount ? Should I start giving him more tablets now ?

I would be inclined to go to the dose as prescribed by the vet, and then give the vet a ring and let them know what's changed, if it's working or not. That said, if you think the problem is going away, perhaps just let the vet know and check if you need to complete the course or not. Either way, good luck!
