One of our pups we kept from a litter tends to have red eyes especially in the corners..it fades a bit but never fully goes away. I was told it could possibly be allergies but wondering when it should go away? Or will it ever? Is there anything else this could possibly be?

Hello!  Red eyes can be a symptom of all kinds of things so it's difficult to narrow down from here.  Allergies are life-long and never go away, but can improve or be controlled when the inflammation is treated and / or the trigger removed.  Other possibilities include the eyelashes rubbing against the globe, which can be extremely painful, respiratory disease, foreign bodies, glaucoma, leaky blood vessels or bleeding into the anterior segment of the eye. A lot of vets will ask to see red eyes as an emergency, to be sure of avoiding some of the more unpleasant possibilities, or puppy SelF trauma to the eye.
