Hello - I'm afraid that the first thing to do, would be to determine that your pup definitely has tooth-pain, as opposed to any other causes of drooling and licking, including nausea, sickness, foreign bodies or lumps and bumps to the mouth.  It sounds as though your vet has already done this and concluded that the teeth are the problem; is that correct? Have you asked them about pain control? - Usually, if a vet feels that your pup is in pain, I would expect them to offer appropriate treatment including pain releif.  Never give drugs to your pup without asking them first, because the side effects of pain releif can be considerable in the wrong circumstances or at the wrong doses. I hope that something there is helpful.
