Two of the kitties in our litter, around 3 weeks old, had trouble when opening their eyes (leakage, one eye closing more, etc). The vet told us a drop of chloramphenicol would be harmless and help them. For one kitten, that turned out to be true.
The other one got discoloration on her face, all of her hair turned coarser and most importantly she shakes whenever she's left to stand alone. We have a wobbly cat and this is not it.
Wondering if she's gonna survive and if there's anything we can do to help her? Can eye drops really have this bad of an effect?? Did them getting onto/into her nose (after we put them on her eye, their faces are very small) ruin her sense of smell forever? She's eating normally. Please help
