Hello all, I really hope that some experienced vets can give me an idea about what is going on with my dog. 5yo healthy Frenchie. Decided to do BOAS surgery as his his heat tolerance worsened. No major events, just tons of panting and short play time. 7 weeks ago underwent surgery with nares ablation, correction of soft palate, tonsils removal. No laryngeal collapse or malacia. Normal recovery for 3 days post op then started to develop difficulties breathing through his nose during inhalation. Explorative endo 3 days ago, wide open airway found (hence BOAS op was a success), did ablation of turbinates. Now nasal breathing even worse, dog cannot sleep b/c lying down or other position with neck extension causes severe difficulties with inhalation through nose. No issues breathing through mouth. Any ideas? My vets are perplexed. I am about to go nuts, that I ruined my baby dogs life. Will appreciate any input.
