Bump near dog’s eye

Hi all, I have a 1.5 year old lab mix. He is up to date on vaccines and neutered. I noticed a bump near my dog’s eyelid about a week ago. At the time, it was flesh colored, small, and didn’t seem to be bothering him. I’ve kept an eye on it over the past week. It’s definitely gotten noticeably bigger and redder. It still doesn’t seem to be bothering him. It’s not bloody, oozing, or flaking, and there’s been no additional or unusual discharge. I’ve sent the pictures below to my vet, but in the mean time is there anyone here who knows what this might be?

Hello!  I wonder about numerous possibilities including bacterial infection, folliculitis (eg demodex), but your vets' have more information than I do and you already have an assessment booked, so I will leave it to the appropriate channels to make the judgement rather than speculate.
