Hi, has anyone had any luck managing symptoms of chronic bronchitis in dogs? We are currently on Terbutaline and Flovent BID. We've tried antibiotics, steroids, and gone the holistic route

Hello!  I'm afraid that this question does raise more questions than answers.  You don't say which symptoms you are struggling to manage and / or how are these treatments working for you?  How old is the dog and what is causing this bronchitis? In an idea world, the cause of the bronchitis would be identified and tackled and the symptoms managed with this in mind (Did your vet diagnose the treatments?  It is likely that your vet has taken this into account, even if they haven't discussed it with you). It sounds as though this perhaps isn't working out - I wonder what stage you are at and what led you to ask us rather than the vet who diagnosed / is managing the condition?

Rewritten here to be clearer (I'm sorry - there is no delete button for vets on this forum, which is good because it makes sure that we are accountable for what we say, but less good when there are language mistakes or typos!) I'm afraid that this question raises more questions rather than answers.  You don't say which symptoms in particular you are struggling to manage and / or how your pet responded to what was given?  In an ideal world, your vet would have an idea of what is causing the bronchitis and tailor treatment accordingly.  Has a full diagnosis been made? How did the meds that were given work?  Was there a plan to see you back for repeat assessment? I wonder what stage in proceedings you are at and what led you to ask a stranger online rather than your vet? All the best and I look forward to hearing more.
