I have a 3 week old French Bulldog puppy that was born with a small patch of hair next to his eye that was the wrong color... over the past three weeks as he's grown, this has turned into a lump that continues to grow as well.
Could anyone help me diagnose this lump and what his treatment for it most likely will look like and how old will he have to be to have it treated/removed?
Thank you
Hello! I'm afraid that the treatment rather depends upon what this lump turns out to be. I wonder whether a pup might react like this to demodex mites, or whether there is a sebaceous cyst or an abscess present, or one of a number of other possibilities. I think that at first your vet will want to examine the patient. They may propose more diagnostic tests on the lump because it can prove difficult to accurately identify such a lump from the outside. The treatment would then be appropriate to what was found. Best of luck with your tiny one.
