Red bumps on dog paws

My pitbull mix is about a 2 years old. She has had small bumps in these same areas before that have gone away but now they are back and bigger than before. It is in the same spot on her two front paws and in a different spot that is the same on her two back paws. Is this just from the area being rubbed on something or is it sensitive from irritation? I find it odd that it is identical bilaterally if it is some sort of growth or tumor. I want to make sure it is nothing serious.

Hello!   I wonder whether this might be lick-damage, and whether it may be secondary to skin disease (eg. allergy) or joint / arthritic pain (often overlooked as a cause, especially in younger dogs).  It is definitely worth talking over with your vet, because even though this sounds 'less serious' than cancer, for example (which can't be excluded at this stage but which may be much lower down the list of possibilities) chronic diseases ( ongoing / returning / niggling diseases ) can still be very miserable for the pet and need to be kept in check).  Therefore I agree that although this appears minor in presentation, it is very much worth looking into at this point.  Best of luck.

Thank you for the info. She does have fairly sensitive skin. For example, when she would lay down in clay and get her chest dirty, I tried using doggy wet wipes to clean it off and her chest became red and irritated like a rash almost. I have obviously stopped using the wipes. Her tear ducts also leak mildly after she eats so I wonder if it is secondary to a digestive issue? I plan to schedule an appointment with the vet in the next week or so.
