My dog has been yelping an very uncomfortable after sliding on her back playing. It seemed to be muscle pain at the rear end. But now she yelped when touched at the front? Its very confusing as only been 2-3 days since it started but she seems absolutly ok when i take her for a wee although shes not running an jumping like her normal self. Shes still eating an drinking normal. But she is in pain i think.

Hello - and I agree;  it does sound as though your dog is in pain.  Pain is notoriously inconsistent and difficult to assess - perhaps a dog yelps when touched at the front because they happen to tense up their sore back.  Perhaps moderate pain can be endured when walking or going somewhere interesting, or when a drive to urinate is at the forefront of the brain, but not when they are undistracted.  Dogs also avoid pain - understandably so - which may explain a reluctance to run.  It sounds to me as though this one may benefit from some pain relief, and given how it happened, an early check for spinal damage may be a consideration.  Perhaps a vet could speak to you to triage the case.  We do not recommend giving pain relief at home without your vets' say so because many common human pain-killers are unexpectedly toxic to animals.
