hey vets, my 4 y/o 30 lb male pit Dach mix tummy was making noise last night and he wouldn’t eat his dinner. Not unusual for him because he does have a sensitive tummy. This morning he ate, and pooped and for the most part it looked normal except for this. Iv contacted our vet and waiting for him to get back to us. What is this and is it an emergency? He is acting fine thank god and eating drinking normal 61CCEF59-6CB5-44F6-A0A9-E2D0DD7D1F1C

Hello!   Your vet will hopefully triage this situation, taking a full history, and let you know how soon they want to see your dog.  There are certainly instances where something looking like this might come out from a dog's anus and be nothing to worry about, but I cannot be sure from here whether I am looking at a worm, mucous or even a twig - proper phone triage needs to take place.
