Hello!  I'm afraid that I don't, either.  What is under the thing that looks like a clot?  It is a retained canine tooth that is being pushed out of the way by the adult canine, causing bleeding?  Or could it be a lump?  Is there any history of trauma?  Is the dog bright and well in themselves? We would recommend showing this to your vet to have it checked.  If it may be an emergency, the emergency vet will triage the case for you over the phone;  otherwise call your usual vet and ask them when they would like your dog to be seen.

I have seen gums bleed when dogs have chewed sticks, for example, particularly when a new tooth is just coming through (which wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility at this age).  Other trauma (knocking teeth), a retained canine causing issues, a foreign body and infection are also possible.  Failure of blood to clot - or multiple small bleeds to the mouth or gums - is something to be very aware of as that may be an emergency situation.
