Spots on top of ears

My frenchie has developed strange spots on his ears, they don’t itch or bother him. Could you recommend something to apply and possibly identify what they are?

Hi Frankie's Mum!  Hope you're doing okay.  These lumps are interesting.  Lumps come in two main categories;  neoplastic (cancer) and inflammatory.  This looks like a very miniature version of a flat, disc-like  inflammatory reaction called urticaria, but I've never seen urticaria so small; typically they'd cover more area, like a small counter, or an old ha'penny. Another possibility is an inflammatory reaction to something in the hair follicle, so-called 'folliculitis.'  Folliculitis is a symptom not a diagnosis and can be linked to demodex mites, other kinds of mite or (often immune-mediated) change within the follicle (allergy, flea and mite reaction and so on).  Sometimes (eg if no mites are involved and the allergen doesn't  stick around) it just goes away on its own, but other times it can stick around and it pays to find out what is causing it.  Have you seen your vet yet? I don't think folliculitis, urticaria or mites (or evwn cancer) would respond to putting cream on;  if using vet prescribed flea and demodex treatment, its worth making sure that this is up to date.  If the lumps don't go away on their own in a few days, or if they start getting worse or bothering their owner, then a vet visit for trial treatment or diagnosis sounds like a good idea.

Thank you for replying I really appreciate it, Frankie isn’t 2 yet so I’m hoping it’s nothing serious. He is upto date with his flea and tick treatment which we apply monthly. I’m not sure if this could be relevant but he’s started cocking his leg up when he has a wee and likes to put his head right in the bushes so I was thinking it could be something he’s allergic to in the bushes. Ive had a video call with first vet who couldn’t really identify them. I have a face to face vet appointment next week.

Hi Liz, I took Frankie to the vets and she had a quick look and said dermodex mites, prescribed simpa trio, this was 3 weeks ago. The spots are getting bigger! I don’t think they are dermodex mites, I don’t know what to do
