I’m looking for reassurance thats its normal/ok, as it went out waaaay too far imo. Meat and veg! 6m old long haired miniature dachshund. Easiest just to post a picture. Thankfully it has now retracted but he’s walking a little awkwardly. Pic attached (viewer discretion!) any opinions welcome pls. Thanks

Hello - this dog looks very sore as it stands.  We are not an emergency service, but please call your vets' emergency line.

They will triage the situation and may ask to see your dog.

Thanks Liz, it returned to normal after 10-15mins, and he seems fine and happy today / walking normally... so no emergency situation currently.  My concern is whether there's anything wrong anatomically which may lead to this happening again, which should be addressed, or perhaps neutering.
