My dog is Naeon, however recently he has had various health problems over the past 4 months. These problems can range from minor annoyances to serious, potentially life-threatening conditions. It is having skin problems such as allergies, rashes, dry skin and dermatitis. Fleas, ticks, and mites can also cause skin irritation. I don't know the cause because I usually bathe it with shower gel regularly and keep the place clean. Do you know any treatment method, I'm so worried!

Hello - we would strongly advise against bathing pets with shower gel because what works on our skin doesnt work on theirs and can have a bad drying effect. Furthermore, any protective cells and microbes on the skin's surface may get washed away. Indeed, unless your pet is dirty, we would reccommend just using water - and if they are dirty, perhaps a shampoo that is pH balanced for dogs and won't dry the skin.  It is definitely possible to cause skin irritation by bathing pets too much so try to avoid this.  If you ask the vet about the itching, they may begin by giving appropriate anti parasite products and, if severe or ongoing and not solved by the changes in bathing, they might begin to rule out underlying issues such as allergies.
