Hello - and thankyou for the picture. Tricin ointment is an antibiotic and therefore in the uk I like to think that it would be prescribed by a vet, specifically for an infection best treated by that paticular antibiotic. If so, I am in no position to comment based on the smll amount I can see online. It surprises me, because the lump does not look, at first glance, like an obvious infection. If there was an infection, I suspect that it would be deep in the pore where an ointment couldn't actually reach very well. It is however possible that investigations have been done or symptoms present that I have not been aware of, or whether there were other symptoms that have now resolved, or whether perhaps the ointment may have been inappropriate in this case.
Based on the limited information I have, I would be wondering about a small follicular mite called demodex, a follicular cyst or even a tumour, eg meibomian gland tumour or histiocytoma (often benign). It does look atypical for Ringworm although that may also be on the list.
Therefore please do ask a vet to check this eye if they haven't done already.
