Hi, I'm not a vet but just another person with a 10 year old dog. I've found lumps and bumps on my dog for the last several years. Some are liomas and others are plain old warts. Our vet said it is very common on older dogs and more common on certain breeds. Fortunately most are benign and harmless but should still be looked at by a vet. I know finding a lump can be stressful but don't worry until your dog is seen by a vet. There is a very good chance it's nothing serious.
Forgot to mention if you post a picture of the lump a vet on this forum may be able to give you more insight on what it is.
