It's been 9 days since his neuter and I'm anxious about his healing. We are going to see if we can get a weekend appointment,  but for my peace of mind tonight, I need to know of this is heading in the right or wrong direction for healing. Thanks for any insights   20230602_18563420230602_18564620230602_185629

Hello... Im pleased that you're taking this patient to the vets, because that's absolutely the best way to assess them - by looking and feeling.   I can see the very edge of a wound here, which looks to be healing fine, but that can't be confirmed from this angle as I can see very little of it.  I can also see what looks to be superficial redness (this could even be a skin reaction) plus or minus some filling of the scrotal sacs but again, this is difficult to assess without feeling and context. Your vet may prescribe / have prescribed anti-inflammatories to help with this, if the skin is swollen and no other abnormality is found.  Sometimes sacs fill with fluid - this does resolve again - but herniae are possible and cant be ruled out without an examination. Please do let us know how you get on.
