Blindness

I have an 8-year-old Siberian husky mix who has had epileptic seizures since he was 3 years old. He has averaged a seizure every 4 months or so.  Last December (almost a year ago), he had a seizure late in the day (on Christmas Eve) that appeared to be no different than any previous seizure, and he recovered consistent with other attacks; however, the next day he was running into things, and we quickly realized that he was mostly (but not entirely) blind.  He has not had any seizures since then! Since the first seizure, he has taken Keppra 3 times a day and that continues to this day. Since then, we have noticed that there seem to be good days and bad days with his vision.  And by ‘good’, I mean he can see more things, but never 100% back to normal. My question is: Could a seizure cause him to lose the ability to focus properly?  Especially focus on closer objects?  He seems able to see things farther away. If so, maybe we could get him bifocals to help correct this. Thanks
