After graduating University with a degree in Professional Dance, Ben took a year out and travelled Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and The Philippines. After having a keen interest in animals since he was a child, Ben decided to change his career path and join the Veterinary industry. On return to England, he started work as a veterinary receptionist, which soon progressed into a veterinary care assistant and then to a student veterinary nurse. Ben has a particular interest in anaesthesia and nurse consultations. He is keen to promote the role of the veterinary nurse.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys hikes in the Peak District with his partner, Dan, and his cockerpoo Barney. He also cares for his hand reared kitten, Sydney, tortoise Missy and poison dart frogs Miso and Nori.
