I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2007 and went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Professional and Clinical Veterinary Nursing with the Royal Veterinary College in 2012. During my time in practice I worked as head nurse in a small animal first opinion/ orthopaedic referral practice in East Sussex where I gained a particular interest in surgical nursing. I have undertaken several volunteer expeditions in various parts of the world working with a variety of animals from meerkats to elephants and now work in the animal welfare charity sector. I live on the south coast with my husband and two cats.
